FULL-PROOF
Ensuring the due course of criminal proceedings by strengthening respect for the procedural rights of suspects and the accused
Check the FULL-PROOF Impact
As the team behind the FULL-PROOF project (Ensuring the due course of criminal proceedings by strengthening respect for the procedural rights of suspects and the accused), our goal is to improve criminal justice procedures by tackling breaches of procedural rights at the early stages of justice processes.
We work closely with police officers and lawyers to increase awareness and help them better understand how to effectively engage with suspects and the accused. By studying common breaches in how existing directives are applied and building on best practices, we aim to develop a framework to replicate successful approaches. This will make it easier to use existing tools and resources to support professionals and promote international collaboration.

What We Will Deliver
- Spotting and analysing issues: We identify and examine common challenges professionals face when respecting suspects' and accused persons' rights.
- Sharing what works: We focus on replicating successful approaches to working with suspects and the accused, and we’re creating a framework to help others do the same.
- Supporting professionals: We are developing easy-to-use resources for professionals, institutions, and organisations to improve their daily work.
- Connecting people: We organise international events to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and encourage dialogue between different professions.
- Spreading the word: We use engaging tools like videos and infographics to share the project’s results and inspire wider change.
